'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Casting: Chris Carmack, Travis Fimmel and Armie Hammer Top Three Choices for Elliot Grey Role [PHOTOS]
"Pacific Rim's'" Charlie Hunnam cast as Christian Grey caused quite a lot of disappointed and enraged fans. Nevertheless, producers are unlikely to recast for the sake of fan whims and wants. On the other hand, readers of E.L. James erotica novel still have the part of Elliot Grey to help fill out. Here are the three top choices for the part of Christian Grey's older brother in "Fifty Shades of Grey."
Staying true to the rumours, E.L. James announced the cast for "Fifty Shades of Grey" following Labour Day. Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson have officially signed on as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, respectively, for the film adaptation. As Dana Brunetti claimed, disappointed fans were vocal about the choices on social networking sites. Still, with the film set for production by fall and release by August 1, 2014, recasting is highly impossible.
On the other hand, two other iconic roles are yet to be filled out, namely Kate Kavanagh and Elliot Grey. Diana Agron, Amber Heard and Elizabeth Olsen are currently leading the polls for the part of Anastasia Steele's best friend. As for the part of Elliot Grey, quite a few Hollywood hunks have been dubbed as potential stars for the part.
Elliot Grey is described in the books as muscular, tall, with curly blonde hair and blue eyes. Simon Baker was initially eyed for the part, but given his age, Simon is considered too old for the part. Of course, there are other suitable, and not to mention younger, actors for the part.
First of is "Nashville" actor Chris Carmack, followed by "Vikings'" Travis Fimmel. "Social Networks'" Armie Hammer is also a strong contender. Check out the slideshow to see the top three choices for the part of Elliot Grey for "Fifty Shades of Grey."
