Another hot Hollywood hunk has been eyed by the "Fifty Shades" fandom to star as their Christian Grey in the upcoming film adaptation. Everyone say hello to Cilian Murphy of "In Time." However, this isn't the first time Murphy has been eyed for the role because late last year Cilian had expressed interest in the S&M role.

Since the announcement of E.L. James for the film adaptation for "Fifty Shades of Grey", fans have been nothing but excited. Of course, speculation for an official cast has also got the blood pumping. Yet, Universal Studios and Focus Features have taken an extremely long time in announcing a cast let alone begin auditions for the lead roles.

For one, fans are wasting no time in naming potential stars set to play the lead roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. Currently in the lead for the role of Anastasia Steele is "Game of Thrones" Emilia Clarke while fan favourites Alexis Bledel, Felicity Jones and Allison Williams follow short.

On the other hand, in the lead to play Christian Grey is "Vampire Diaries" star, Ian Somerhalder. Other favourites include Henry Cavill of "Man of Steel" and Matt Bomer of "White Collar." Still, a few new names and returning favourites of last year have made it to this year's contenders.

These strong contenders for the role of Christian Grey include Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Hugh Dancy, Ryan Gosling and Cilian Murphy. Late last year, Cilian had talked about the possibility of starring in the film as Grey.

"I haven't read the book," said Murphy in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, adding, "I know everyone's talking about it. The thing is, it's kind of random how you get jobs, you know?"

"You just read the script. If you like it, you like it," continued Murphy.
