‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Movie Casting Conflict Continues Between Nina Dobrev and Lucy Hale
"The Vampire Diaries" actress Nina Dobrev came out victorious against "Pretty Little Liars" star Lucy Hale for the "2012 Hottest TV Chick" award. The battle of the actresses thickens the conflict story between the two since Nina Dobrev claimed that she does not want Lucy Hale to star opposite her boyfriend Ian Somerhalder in the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" film.
Nina Dobrev apparently made the major on-screen impression with the television viewers where Lucy Hale only came in at second place and Zooey Deschanel at the third spot. In Hollywood Life's "Hottest TV Girls of 2012" contest, Nina Dobrev also appeared to be the frontrunner.
Even though Lucy Hale lost to Nina Dobrev with the "Hottest TV Chick" award, she still has a strong chance of landing the female lead role of Anastasia Steele in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" film since the actress is constantly mentioned for the part. If ever Lucy Hale gets cast alongside Ian Somerhalder, this could be a huge blow for Nina Dobrev.
Ian Somerhalder and Lucy Hale remain fan favorites in portraying the major characters Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. However, Nina Dobrev expressed her fear that Ian Somerhalder might fall for Lucy Hale if the pair officially gets cast in the highly anticipated "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie.
In an ongoing survey at Wetpaint, both stars are included in the list of the potential actor and actress to portray the famous characters. Ian Somerhalder has a strong fan base that supports all of his professional and personal accomplishments. Meanwhile, Lucy Hale has attracted the "Fifty Shades of Grey" fans with her striking features similar to Anastasia Steele.
The "Pretty Little Liars" actress has no upcoming movie projects which gives her an advantage in bagging the coveted female role. Also, Lucy Hale reportedly stated in an interview in June 2012 that portraying Anastasia Steele "would be freaking awesome."
"Fifty Shades of Grey" enthusiasts may have already considered the pairing of Ian Somerhalder and Lucy Hale since a fan-made video trailer has been posted on YouTube for months. It has already received more than 340,000 views.
