With all the attention the stars of "Man of Steel" are getting, it's not surprising that one fandom would name them the next potential couple for a highly-anticipated film adaptation. Henry Cavill has long been eyed to play Christian Grey of "Fifty Shades of Grey." Fans also agree that Cavill's onscreen love interest in "Man of Steel", Amy Adams, has the potential to be Anastasia Steele.

After months of speculating, still no word from Universal Studios and E.L. James about an official cast. Of course, fans of "Fifty Shades" have not let such news bother them so much. In fact, "Fifty" fans have kept busy with countless web polls naming over a hundred potential stars that could play the lead roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

Currently the strongest contender for Christian Grey is "Vampire Diaries" Ian Somerhalder. However, there are two strong contenders, Matt Bomer and Henry Cavill vying for the top spot. While Bomer expressed disinterest in the film, Cavill has been nothing but open about the possibility.

Apart from Cavill's expression of interest in the "Fifty Shades" film, fans have eyed him for the role all thanks to his latest film, "Man of Steel." Fans claim that Cavill's character for the film is "emotionally bruised" making him the perfect actor to play the dark and mysterious character of Grey.

Henry Cavill's co-star and love interest in "Man of Steel", Amy Adams is now also being eyed to play opposite him as Anastasia Steele. Amy Adams may be a bit too old for the role but there's nothing make up can't do.

Henry Cavill and Amy Adams may be the current favourite for the role of Christian and Ana. Yet, these two have tough competition with a few other pairings of which include Ian Somerhalder & Lucy Hale and Matt Bomer & Alexis Bledel.
