"Arrow" star Katie Cassidy has been eyed by "Fifty Shades" fanatics for the upcoming film adaptation. However, fans are torn between Katie playing Anastasia Steele or Kate Kavanagh. Which role would suit best for the 26-year old actress?

Katie Cassidy is certainly not a new name for the "Fifty Shades" hype. Late last year, the "Gossip Girl" star was eyed for the role of Anastasia Steele before fan favourites Emilia Clarke and Alexis Bledel became the strongest contenders.Well, Katie may not be a strong favourite for the role as Ana but she certainly is the strongest contender for the role of Kate Kavanagh, Steele's best friend.

E.L. James had described Ana's best friend, Kate Kavanagh the wealthy blonde, as curvy, vivacious and beautiful. Fans would already know that Kate was also the reason Ana had the chance to meet Christian Grey.

FanShare had described Cassidy as the perfect choice for the role of Kate given she is "feisty enough to play the gorgeous part." As for the role of Ana, Katie Cassidy might not have the right looks to pull off the innocent vibe whereas it'll be easy for her to pull off the feisty and sexy look of Kavanagh.

Also, Cassidy expressed interest in the role of Kavanagh when she had tweeted a link about her playing the role of Kavanagh. Right after, the "Arrow" actress added another tweet stating, "yes please."
