'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Casting: Oliver Jackson-Cohen as Christian Grey [PHOTOS]
"Fifty Shades of Grey" continues to dominate the web news since its release late last year. Surprisingly, with the film adaptation set for release by August 24, 2014, a cast still hasn't been announced. Despite the casting call broadcast earlier this month, there have been no stars who have luckily nabbed the lead roles. Yet, there is one Hollywood hunk that is fresh on the eyes who is certainly dubbed as the next potential Christian Grey. Here's all there is to know about Oliver Jackson-Cohen.
Given the director for the "Fifty Shades" film is British, Director Sam Taylor-Wood, then fans would nonetheless look for British actors for the part of Christian Grey. Robert Pattinson, who had been the inspiration for Christian Grey, is an English actor who has got strong dibs for the part. However, there is another Brit actor making rounds on the web as suitable for the lead role.
Oliver Jackson-Cohen, aged 26, is an English model and actor. Cohen is the son of the famous designer, Betty Jackson. Oliver's first entry to the tinsel town world of acting came in 2007 in the series "The Time of Your Life" but his big break came in the 2010 film opposite Dwayne Johnson in "Faster." Currently, Oliver is filming the television series "Dracula" as Jonathan Harker.
Well, it looks as if Oliver could possibly be the next Christian Grey. Judging from the films and series Oliver has on his resume, he's still unknown and not so much popular in Hollywood. From what producers have been stating all this time, chances are they'd give the lead part to someone "largely unknown." Oliver suits that qualification quite well. Apart from that, Oliver falls within the age category for the role, between ages 25 to 33, and is extremely good-looking.
