Naming potential actors for the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey" has become everyone's favorite parlor game. "True Blood's" Alexander Skarsgard and "Vampire Diaries" Ian Somerhalder may have been last years' contenders for the top spot but the numbers have changed through the end of the year. Given its January of 2013, there are whole other names included on the list as potential Christian Grey's.
First up is James Deen who is known as "The Canyons" star. The adult film star has quite the potential to playing the Sadomasochistic Mr. Grey given he has all the experience.
"It seems like a character I could have a lot of fun with," said Deen in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, adding, "I've heard really mixed responses about it, like, 'Oh, it's a cheesy Twilight wannabe.'... [but] I think it could be fun. I feel like it could be a really cool, fun role to work on."
Another name on the list who has openly expressed his interest in the role is Oscar nominee, James Franco. In an interview during the Sundance Film Festival at Utah, Franco said he'd be keen to playing Christian Grey on one condition.
"It sounds interesting, I heard Gus [Van Sant] might direct it. If he directed it, I'd do it," explained Franco.
While both James could portray Christian Grey ever so easily, another name on a few polls has been getting quite the attention as well. "Man of Steel's" Henry Cavill has been eyed by a few "Fifty Shades" fans to play the role of the 27-year old entrepreneur.
Last but not the least, "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe is one actor newly thrown into the bunch of potential Grey's. Given Daniel has truly grown up and matured, playing such a strong and sexual role would definitely be a big change.
