'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie: Charlie Hunnam Officially Drops Out of Christian Grey Role [PHOTOS]
Fans of "Fifty Shades of Grey" who signed the petition on Change.org finally get what they want. Charlie Hunnam of "Sons of Anarchy" has officially dropped out of the part for Christian Grey. Exactly why did Hunnam choose to drop the part?
Reports claim that Charlie Hunnam had got "cold feet" from nabbing the part. Thanks to all the attention the 33-year old star is getting, Charlie has changed his mind about the film. If memory serves us right, Hunnam claimed he was taking the part seriously and wanted to look good in the suits.
"There are so many fans of that book and I know that on the surface, I'm probably not what everybody imagined," stated Hunnam, adding,"I'm taking it very seriously and intend to explore the nature of who this character is, what motivates him-and also dress up nice and look good in those suits."
Obviously, Hunnam has seriously changed his mind about the film and about playing the part of Christian Grey.
"The filmmakers of Fifty Shades of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam's immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey," said Universal Pictures in a report by Hollywood Reporter.
All thanks to Hunnam's sudden leave, producers of the film are left to delay the production which could cause a delay for the release date as well. This news only means Matt Bomer, Henry Cavill or Ian Somerhalder could be suitable replacements for Charlie Hunnam.
