Amazing what an Oscar trophy and a huge franchise attached to your name can do.

That's precisely what Jennifer Lawrence must be feeling right now if rumours are to be believed that she's being heavily favoured to play the role of Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.

Now, JLaw has the luxury of getting all the juicy, coveted roles. According to reports by Hollywood Life, if producers have their way, they want the 22-year-old Silver Linings Playbook actress to star in the book trilogy turned movie franchise that is set to start filming in London next year.

There is no official confirmation yet, but if it pushes through this will be the second time that Jennifer gets entrusted with a popular book series. She also plays Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games franchise whose second instalment is set to open in November this year.

Having Jennifer's name surface now may come as a surprise to most fans of the book since she wasn't really viewed as a favourite candidate in fan polls and pre-production publicities.

Fans have been mostly divided in their choice for the actress to play Anastasia with names of Emma Watson, Ashley Greene and Alexis Bledel cropping up.

It's also a different matter whether Jennifer will be interested to accept the role. Fans have never really seen the eternally-hilarious Jennifer in a provocative, sexy role on the big screen. They say, if ever, Fifty Shades of Grey will be quite a risqué move for the endearing actress.

Meanwhile, it looks like it's a done deal for Alex Pettyfer to play the role of Christian Grey. According to Hollywood Life, Director Gus Van Sant just recently made Alex undergo a test screen shot, delivering a choice passage from the book. Alex reportedly made a good impression to earn him the top role.

Shooting for Fifty Shades of Grey will start in the Spring of 2014 in London, according to a source of Hollywod Life.
