‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Sequel Canceled? ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Charlie Hunnam Happy About the News?
Fans of the BDSM loving billionaire Christian Grey will be super disappointed about the recent claims that the movie's sequel may be canceled. After wrapping its production in February, "Fifty Shades of Grey" started releasing its kick off date next year which is scheduled on Valentine's Day 2014 and their sexy new poster featuring Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey.
Classicalite reports that rumors have been flaying that fans of the E.L. James erotic book adaptation will only get to see the Part 1 of the movie and not the whole trilogy. According to a gossip Web site The Stir, fans have to wait a very long time for the next installment of "Fifty Shades of Grey."
"Sorry, Fifty fans, it's going to be a loooong time before Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson reprise their roles as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele...," The Stir reports. "When asked about when the sequel would start shooting, producer Dana Brunetti said, 'I have no idea. I have no idea yet. We haven't even started discussing that yet. We just want to get this one wrapped and get it cut. We'll see the cut, see how it goes, and once it's released, we'll start discussing what happens next.'"
Known for his role in FX biker drama series "Sons of Anarchy," Charlie Hunnam was the first Christian Grey to be cast in the movie. But the English actor has to drop the movie due to shooting schedules and he was going through a personal struggle during the time that the movie needed to be filmed.
Because of this new rumor, some sites suggested that Charlie Hunnam is happy about the cancellation of the sequel so he can put the "Fifty Shades of Grey' franchise behind him. Not very happy about the extra attention given to him, Hunnam values his privacy outside his TV show and movies. With his name always connected to 'Fifty Shades' the actor just want to move now that he is not connected to the movie.
Charlie Hunnam is currently filming Guillermo del Toro's "Crimson Peak" in Toronto.
