'Fifty Shades of Grey' star Dakota Johnson talks about her embarrassing public encounters with strangers, says she is single

“Fifty Shades of Grey” actress Dakota Johnson often has embarrassing encounters with strangers in public after she has starred in the erotic movie. The actress was once stunned when the driver of a cab she was riding gave her unsolicited advice on the inclusion of more sex scenes in the movie's sequel.

“Sometimes...Sometimes people just say things that are a little bit awkward for me,” Johnson told Ellen DeGeneres on her show last week.

“I was in a cab recently, and the driver was like, ‘You know, my wife and I, we saw your film. We really liked it.’ And [then] he goes, ‘…I thought there could be more sex.' And I was about to roll out of the car when it was driving,” she added.

Johnson played the role of Anastasia Steele in the erotic, bondage-sex themed film, which released in February. According to Movie Pilot, there was certainly “no shortage” of sex-scenes in “Fifty Shades of Grey.” The 125 minute long film, which also starred actor Jamie Dornan, had seven bedroom scenes that lasted for 14 minutes and 17 seconds.

Johnson also talked about her relationship status on the show. When the 57-year-old hostess asked her, “Are you in a relationship?” the actress replied with a “no.” The 25-year-old is in an on-off relationship with her musician beau Matthew Hitt and the two were spotted together on Monday in New York.

The daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith also revealed that she is finding it tough to go on a date with men. DeGeneres asked Johnson if people are more attracted to her or are scared of her. "I mean, if those are the two options, I guess they're scared of me," Johnson said. "They either love me or they're running for the hills…Mostly running for the hills."

The actress is also signed on to do the movie's sequel, “Fifty Shades Darker,” the shooting for which will begin in 2016.
