‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ star Dakota Johnson’s comment on Jamie Dornan’s nudity may get her into trouble
Dakota Johnson recently spoke about Jamie Dornan and upcoming sequels of “Fifty Shades of Grey” while promoting her new romantic comedy “How to be Single.” Johnson appeared on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens: Live” with Andy Cohen. She obliged to answer a viewer query about whether Johnson thinks Dornan should go full frontal in “Fifty Shades Darker” and “Fifty Shades Freed.”
“That’s an interesting question, I’ll probably get in trouble for this answer… yeah. Yeah. I’m gonna make him get fully naked in the next one. Everybody wants to see the D, the Dornan D. We should start a movement, a campaign,” said Johnson.
Johnson’s body was on full display in “Fifty Shades of Grey” and no one said a thing due to the context of the movie, which is an erotically-charged romantic movie. It is based on the book, alternatively coined “mommy porn.” The film examines a submissive and dominant relationship between a young virginal college student and a wildly handsome wealthy man.
While fans were disappointed to see Dornan not showing skin, Johnson was too. Leslie Mann, Johnson’s co-star in “How to be Single,” also agreed that seeing Dornan naked would be exciting.
“Fifty Shades of Grey” has mainly capitalized on its naughty and but not too naughty aesthetic and has grossed more than US$570 million (AU$802.16 million) worldwide. An on-set conflict between the first movie’s director Sam Taylor-Johnson and author E L James led to the former and screenwriter Kelly Marcel choosing to not return for the sequels. “Fifty Shades Darker” will be directed by James Foley which has been penned by E L James’ husband, Niall Leonard.
According to Hollywood Life, Jamie might change his heart as he is being offered an extra US$1.5 million (AU$2.11 million) to go fully frontal.
“They’re offering Jamie a bonus of $1.5 million to do a full-frontal scene in Fifty Shades Darker. That’s just a starting figure. Jamie would be crazy not to consider it,” a source said.
