Matt Bomer or Henry Cavill could play Christian Grey in the upcoming 'Fifty Shades' movie, according to fans posting photos to Instagram to make their point. Photos of both actors are ubiquitous in social networks, with fans expressing strong support for their choices.

"Fifty Shades of Grey," the erotic series by E.L. James is being penned for film by Kelly Marcel. The movie script still appears to be in progress. This could be one of the reasons why no one has been officially named for Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele roles.

Matt Bomer Interview on Christian Grey

Matt Bomer is one of the leading contenders for the role. But he refuses to express a strong interest to play Christian Grey. He did, however, say this:

"No comment. That's my line on that. But it's very flattering I've got fans who would like to see me in these things," the White Collar actor told Metro UK.

Bomer may have not been too obvious in his interest in the role. At the same time, he did not reject the possibility, either. Fans could still hope that the Fifty Shades movie producers would offer him the coveted Grey role.

Henry Cavill Talks Christian Grey

Henry Cavill has figured in at least two fan-created fake Fifty Shades movie posters. Like Bomer, the "Man of Steel" actor has strong support in social networks like Twitter and Facebook. Cavill won out in a Twitter poll for "the best and sexiest Christian Grey body."

"Whether that happens, that decision will be made at the time it has to be made. It would be a very different kind of thing than Man of Steel," Cavill earlier told Details magazine.
