‘Fifty Shades'Jamie Dornan: Five Things to Know About 'The Fall' Season 2
Now that "Fifty Shades of Grey" is close to wrapping up, Northern Ireland actor Jaime Dornan is off to begin filming BBC Two's crime drama series opposite "X-Files" actress Gillian Anderson. The Christian Grey on flesh is going to reprise her roles as Paul Spector, a serial killer who is targeting young, professional women in Belfast.
Written by Allan Cubitt, "The Fall" season one was filmed in Belfast, Northern Island, funded by Northern Ireland Screen and the European Regional Development Fund. Now being the highest rated drama by BBC Two in eight year, "The Fall" is going to return for its second season after a cliffhanging ending of season one.
The first season finale was aired on June 20, 2013 and Jaime Dornan's character Paul Spector left its fans hanging and disappointed when he got away from the grip of Detective Stella Gibson played by Gillian Anderson. With over three million viewers, the crime series managed to entice fans thanks to Anderson's captivating performance and Dornan's exceptional acting.
"I've been watching you with interest," says Spector in the series' killer and cop phone showdown. "We're very alike you and me - both driven by a will to power, a desire to control everything and everyone. Obsessive, ruthless, living and breathing moral relativism. It's just that you're bound by conventional emotions of what's right and wrong and I'm free."
"How are you free ?' Gibson scoffed. 'You're a slave to your desires. You have no control at all. You're weak. Impotent. You think you're some kind of artist but you're not," replied DSI Gibson.
