The filming of the hit political drama series "House of Cards" Season 2 is almost done. Beau Willimon, executive producer and creator of "House of Cards," has confirmed that on social networking site, Twitter.

A week ago, Beau Willimon, executive producer and creator of "House of Cards" tweeted: "Almost done. Just a few more weeks to go filming S2 @HouseofCards. Whipping the footage into shape in post!"

On September 28, 2013, Willimon tweeted: "The breakfast of champions. I say breakfast cuz it'll be a lonnng nite writin the finale of S2."

Netflix is yet to announce the premiere date of "House of Cards" Season 2. According to media buzz, the new season of "House of Cards" is slated to air sometime in February. Willioms had refused to provide information about the premiere date of Season 2. He had said to CNN in August: "I can't give you that tidbit (premiere date of Season 2) right now, unfortunately."

"If people enjoyed the first season, I hope that they'll enjoy the second season even more. I can tell you I've been having an even better time and having even more fun with it," actor Kevin Spacey had said to Entertainment Weekly.

The hit Netflix original series, "House of Cards" features the shrewd Francis Underwood (Kevin Spacey), the South Carolina congressman. After he is ignored for the post of Secretary of State, he plots the downfall of those who betrayed him in the scheming, political world of Washington.

"House of Cards" is one the most critically acclaimed shows of 2013. It scored nine Emmy 2013 nominations. David Fincher, director of "House of Cards." took home the Emmy for the best direction in the drama series. It is the first time that Netflix, an online video streaming site, won in a major category at Emmy Awards.
