Dreamworks Studio has finally released the first poster for the much-awaited movie "Rise of the Guardians." Now the question is: Will it be a big hit?

It will probably be a blockbuster hit if kids watch it. Think about it. With Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy all in one movie, then it would definitely be a movie to watch out for. The movie, adapted from the book "The Guardians of Childhood" by William Joyce, includes Hugh Jackman, Jude Law, Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, Isla Fisher and Dakota Goyo in its cast.

Who will these Hollywood big timers be playing exactly?

Baldwin will be voicing the big man in the red suit, Santa Claus. As for Jackman, the ever adorable Bunny would be his character. Australian actress Isla Fisher on the other hand will be voicing The Fairy while Pine plays Jack Frost. Who plays the famous villain in this contemporary take on Santa Claus? The demon Pitch would be voiced by Law, whose main agenda in life is to annihilate (or a much nicer, kid version would be destroy) the magic of youth or in this case the fun out of childhood.

"When an evil spirit called Pitch becomes bent upon taking over the world by inspiring fear in the hearts of kids everywhere, a group of our greatest heroes - Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Sandman and Jack Frost - band together for the first time, determined to stand in Pitch's way. More than a collection of storybook subjects, 'The Guardians' are also a band of superheroes who possess their own special powers. Now joined in opposition of a common foe, the Guardians heed the call and combine their powers to defeat Pitch and protect the world from his campaign of fear," stated the official synopsis of the film on FirstShowing.net.

Apart from the strong cast of characters Dreamworks has laid out, screenwriter of the film "Rabbit Hole," David Lindsay-Abaire, will be writing the script for the movie. So kids should definitely mark their calendars because Dec. 7, 2012 will be quite a long wait.
