Fitness guru Ashy Bines has slammed the Dieticians Association of Australia for saying that her eponymous Ashy Bines Bikini Body Challenge is the third worst dietary plan in Australia. The former Miss Hawaiian Tropic Australia finalist was confused why the DAA even included her fitness challenge in their survey of diets.

On Thursday, the DAA released a survey from over 200 nutritionists who listed the diet plans that they think are the worst. 68% of the nutritionists agreed that the Lemon Detox Diet, which is a two-week diet consisting of lemon juice, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup, was the worst diet fad in the country.

Coming in at second place is the Skinny Me Tea diet, which was rejected by 55% of participating nutritionists.

ABBBC was mentioned the third worst, with 32% of nutritionists rejecting Ms Bines’ fitness challenge plan.

Ms Bines is now hitting back at the DAA’s claim, saying that the nutritionists in the survey have mistaken her bikini challenge with her Clean Eating Diet Plan.

“Firstly I think they are confused with the difference between ABBBC and my clean eating diet plan,” she wrote on Facebook as a reply to a commenter about the diet being the third worst in Australia, adding that the media did not get their facts straight.

“Secondly its (sic) CRAZY how ‘ABBBC’ OR my clean eating diet plan can be compared with a liquid detox that holds next to nutritional value. Let alone any education/support/motivation on how to live a healthy lifestyle that can be maintained, to then compare it with my guidelines that involves REAL food, all food groups we all need, and no restrictions to cut any food groups out has just blown my mind.

“Since when has eating fruit, vegetables, carbohydrates, healthy fats and proteins plus staying away from refined sugars, alcohol and deep fried foods PLUS being active and balanced been a bad thing?”

She continued, “If any dietician is saying that this is a (sic) unhealthy and not sustainable way to live a healthy balanced lifestyle then I’m very worried with what education they are putting out to their clients.”

Ms Bines is no stranger to controversy when it comes to the effectiveness of her diet plan and fitness challenge. Dissatisfied clients have already started Facebook group pages, expressing their anger at allegedly being duped by the “scams.”
