Nicolas Cage had been all over the news over the weekend after he was arrested in New Orleans and booked over multiple charges - - domestic abuse, public drunkenness and disturbing the peace.

The actor who has never been arrested before posted bail for $11,000 and was scheduled for another court hearing on May 31.
This however, is not the first low point for the actor in his bright successful career in Hollywood.

Here’s five of them.

1. Superman Broke His Heart—Twice: First in 1998, he was confirmed to take as the Man of Steel in 1998 but he lost the chances when the plug got pulled on the superhero series by Tim Burton. Second in 2001, he also lost the copy of Action Comics No. 1 which featured last son of Krypton, -- and the namesake of his son, Kal-El - -. Unlike his role as the superhero, Cage got back the comic book.

2. “Big Mistake”: His ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley called their three year marriage a ‘big mistake”

3. A Naked Man Invades his California Home: While his wife, Alice Kim and son were sleeping, he caught a naked man walking around his house in Newport Beach, California in 2007. The ‘Face-Off’ actor caught the 45-year-old nudist fitting one of his leather jackets. The intruder was caught shortly after he called the security.

4. Accused of Stealing a Chihuahua: A memoir written by ‘Peggy Sue’ co-star Kathleen Turner asserted in her memoir that Cage was once busted for Driving Under the Influence and dog-napping a Chihuahua. The story brought him big embarrassment as it was serialized in a U.K Newspaper. Cage then filed a lawsuit against Turner and won an apology and a donation to the charity of his choice.

5. Selling One of his Castles: Cage had appeared in various box office hit movies including ‘National Treasure’, ‘Face-Off’, ‘Con Air’, among others and successfully invest in two castles only to inevitably sell them recently. Things got worse when he found out that that he was underpaid $14 million for the property.
