FKA Twigs, Robert Pattinson Romance Update: FKA Calls Pattinson As 'The Man I Love'
Robert Pattinson's new girlfriend FKA Twigs has confessed her love for him in her new interview. The 26-year-old, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, has called the "Twilight" actor "the man I love" and said he is "hundred percent" worth of all the paparazzi attention and also the criticism she has lately faced from "Robsten" fans on social media.
"That side of my life [the paparazzi] is nothing to do with me. That's, like... That is the... side of life of the man that I love," FKA told The Guardian. When she was asked the reason why she looked so shy in front of the camera when she is going out with Robert Pattinson and why she hides her face, the singer had the following to say.
"I look uncomfortable because I am uncomfortable. But then it's, like, is this person in my life worth that? And he is, without question....In comparison to how happy I am. And how I feel with him. It's 100 percent worth it," confessed the Mercury Award-winning singer in a new interview.
FKA also told the newspaper that she is a painfully shy person and that is the reason why she is not very active on social media, too. The singer, who currently lives in London, said that she does not have Instagram, Twitter or Facebook on her phone.
Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs met through common friends Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge at one of her gigs this year. Ever since, the duo has been spotted together on a number of occasions. Also, there is speculation in the media that Pattinson is planning to leave Los Angeles and shift base to London to be near FKA Twigs. However, Pattinson has not confirmed anything on his move.
Though Robert Pattinson is often spotted smiling and looking happy with FKA, his fans are not. "Robsten" fans (fans of Robert Pattinson and his ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart) are disappointed that FKA has replaced Kristen in Rob's life. FKA was even subjected to racist comments on Twitter where she was called "monkey faced" and "ugly." Twigs is a mixed breed with her mom hailing from Spain while her father is a Jamaican. It also explains her different looks. But Tahliah took stand against the virtual racism and blasted critics on Twitter. Read more here.
