“The Flash” Season 1, episode 21, titled “Grodd Lives,” airs this Tuesday, May 5, on The CW. This week’s new episode brings up Grodd, as Eobard Thawne aka the fake Dr. Harrison Wells plots his next move. In other news, Iris West confronts Barry Allen, knowing that he is The Flash. Caitlin’s “frosty” nature will be coming out, and the Arrow is showing up in the finale.

Dr Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) is dead; Barry (Grant Gustin) and his S.T.A.R. Labs team now know the truth about the Reverse Flash. So in “The Flash” Season 1, episode 20, Barry, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Cisco (Carlos Valdez) try to trap the fake Wells. However, the big villain has been way ahead of them all this time.

In the extended trailer for “The Flash” Season 1, episode 21, Grodd wreaks havoc in Central City. Joe (Jesse L. Martin) realises the Reverse Flash is using the gorilla to distract Barry and his team. Cisco hatches a plan to control the situation. Can they beat Grodd?

Meanwhile, Iris West (Candice Patton) is “pissed.” According to IGN, Patton used the word pissed to define what happens next in the final episodes of “The Flash” Season 1. Iris could not believe that Barry lied to her. In the promo video, however, she has another pressing concern: What if the Reverse Flash kills Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett)?

For her part, Panabaker told fans that her character is set to reveal her dark, frosty side “sooner than you think.” In the same IGN report, Panabaker went for frosty to tease the rest of the season. In the DC Comics, Caitlin Snow needed Firestorm to survive. The CW adaptation could go in the same direction since half of Firestorm is Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell), Caitlin’s former fiancé.

In “The Flash” Season 1, episode 22, Firestorm is coming to help Barry Allen in his battle. Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) is also showing up, and the Arrow (Stephen Amell) is crossing over. It remains to be seen whether the Arrow is coming as heir to the demon.
