'The Flash' season 2 spoilers: Kevin Smith teases Jay and Silent Bob cameo

Season 2 of “The Flash” is currently airing on The CW and there are rumours that Jay and Silent Bob will make a cameo appearance in one episode soon.

The funny slackers who always appear high may soon appear in “The Flash” Season 2, writes Movie Pilot. CC Jitters was teased as a coffee shop that existed in the universe of “The Flash.” An image of the duo recently surfaced, showing Jason “Jay” Mewes, with his long hair tucked under a bonnet, while Silent Bob had a white cap worn backwards, which is his trademark appearance.

Jay and Silent Bob have become quite popular among viewers due to their appearance on “Askewniverse” by Kevin Smith, and their own solo film, “Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back.” The two characters already appeared in comic book form before, although not in DC universe.

Director Kevin Smith first hinted that the two may appear on the TV show soon in January 2015 through an Instagram post. He posted a photo of Jay and Silent Bob in front of CC Jitters and captioned that he went for some coffee and found the two loitering in front of the coffee shop.

“Yesterday was a productive Day 2 on the episode of #TheFlash that I’m 'directing,' with the cast, crew & I shooting four different scenes in the Cortex and Medical Bay at #StarLabs! I call it 'directing' because neither cast nor crew need my guidance here to make something great,” Smith added. He also stated that they shot a few big scenes that will both break the hearts of viewers and immediately mend it again in a way that only The Flash knows how.

“I love this show, so seeing how it really happens behind the scenes has been nothing short of thrilling. We start Day 3 of 8 in a couple of hours,” the director continued.

Fans of Jay and Silent Boba and The Flash may quickly piece together the clues provided by Kevin Smith.

Season 2 Episode 16 of “The Flash,” titled “Trajectory,” will air next on March 22 on The CW. There are only two episodes left in the season so Jay and Silent Bob may appear in the next or the season finale.
