“Flash” Season 3 has just finished its midseason finale and the second half may focus on the West Family. There are rumours that Iris (Candice Patton) may end up dead if Savitar continues his evil mission.
Spoiler alert! This article contains "The Flash" spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the new episode airs.
During the first half of “The Flash,” Barry (Grant Gustin) was trying to fix the damage he previously caused to the timeline after travelling to the past. After his trip to the future, he has to look for a solution to yet another predicament that could alter events once again. The West Family seems to be a vital factor in the upcoming episodes.
Savitar arrived on Earth after realizing that Barry is becoming a threat to him. Savitar is the first human to gain the power of super speed and eventually became the god of motion. Savitar ordered Julian (Tom Felton) to look for the Philosopher’s Stone. He possessed Doctor Alchemy in the process, with Julian unaware that he was the masked enemy.
Savitar may go against the West Family soon. Savitar previously attempted to kill Wally. In a flash-forward, he successfully killed Iris. It was a foreboding that made every member take extra precaution.
Savitar told Barry that among his circle, one will betray him, another will fall, and another will suffer a fate much worse than death. May fans speculated that the villain was talking about Team Flash. Before, hints were given that Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) would become evil and try to kill Cisco (Carlos Valdes), writes ComicBook. Other fans believe that Savitar was referring to the West Family. It may be Wally that would turn against Barry, Iris might die and Joe may be the one who will go through the worst.
Savitar’s prophecy actually matches the timeline and Flashpoint, which means that he may be after the Wests soon. Wally is already faster than Barry at a certain point of his training, which made him the fastest man alive in the comics. Savitar may also be aware of Wally’s potential and make him a target. The Wests will have to gain independence and learn how to protect themselves, with Barry offering minimal support.
“The Flash” airs on Tuesday on The CW. Season 3 will resume on Jan. 24, 2017. It will also air on Fox8 in Australia.
