Megan Young is the most beautiful girl in the world, its official now after she beat out five other beautiful and talented women, to be crowned Miss World 2013. But did you know that she once had bangs, crooked teeth and loved wearing basketball shorts and spectacles before she was crowned Miss World? Read on.

The 23-year-old beauty was born in Alexandra, Va. to a Filipino mother and an American father. Her family moved to the Philippines when she was 10 years old. She loves her mother and spends days with her. A feature by "Rated K" reveals how Megan's mother Victoria and her dad Lieutenant Calvin Young, whom she was working for at the time, met and got married. But the two separated when Megan was growing up.

Megan started working at an early age of 15 as she appeared on the Filipino talent show "StarStruck." Megan also tried her hand in Filipino shows and appeared on reality TV. She has also hosted several shows for the network Studio 23.

The cute girl with bangs is currently studying digital filmmaking at De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde in Manila, Philippines. "I have always wanted to send a message through my films, whether it be an eye-opener or just something a little unusual to the eye," she states in her Miss World introduction video.

She loves to make fun of her childhood photos as she posts them on her Instagram page. One picture shows a teenage Megan posing in white dress with one hand up in the air and Megan has captioned the picture as "What kind of pose is this?"

We couldn't help but notice Megan, who now maintains a 25-inch waistline, was once a cute and chubby baby. The pictures of a baby Megan will make your heart melt. She is a hardcore foodie and loves to eat chocolates, cupcakes, macaroons, waffles, ice cream, milk tea, pasta, pizza, and much more! Though one can also see some salad pictures in few of her selfies posted on the social media site.
