A late season winter storm has caused delayed flights and road closures in several parts of Canada. Several colleges and universities have also suspended classes.

The storm's strong winds have greatly reduced visibility around Pearson International Airport, thus slowing down traffic going to the airport. More than 300 flights have been reportedly canceled. Airport authorities expect conditions to ease up in the evening, but advised travelers to coordinate with their air carriers for their flight status.

Colleges and universities in Hamilton and the GTA closed at midday, including McMaster University, Mohawk College, Redeemer University College, York University, Humber College, Sheridan College and the University of Toronto Mississauga. The weather conditions also forced U of T Scarborough campus to close at 3 p.m.

The Hamilton QEW express service had been suspended. Operator GO Transit also advised of 90-minute delays on routes, including Waterloo Highway 401 service, University of Guelph and Oakville 403 services.

The late season winter storm dumped 10 centimeters of snow within London, Kitchener-Waterloo and the Greater Toronto Area.

Windsor and other communities along the north shore of Lake Erie, and through the Niagara Peninsula received over 15 centimeters of snow.
