The rain this week has caused a major flood that overflowed across the NSW western district. Huge contributors of the raging floodwater were three overflowing rivers namely Bokhara, Birrie and Culgoa. Authorities expected the incident to be similar to what happened last year.

SES or the State Emergency Service has reported 8,000 residents have already evacuated from towns including Goodooga, Weilmoringle, Walgett and Collarenebri.

Flooding has already passed Queensland and the eastern part of NSW. Now it's heading western areas particularly Bourke and Brewarrina.

From now until the weekend, pastoral areas and agricultural regions of NSW, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia including the NT and ACT will be affective according to Brett Dutschke, a meteorologist from weatherzone.com.au.

The controller of the Dubbo Flood Center for the NSW Department of Primary Industries, Geoff House, however, claimed that landholders and property owners are well prepared.

Most of those from the west are extremely ready for the flood. They have already moved their stock out of the area where major floodwater will likely hit. They were all well-organized and really did a great job in keeping their stock safe and at the same time helping in minimizing damages.

Rain will be heavier across Queensland, Victoria and NSW on Tuesday night, Wednesday and Thursday. On Saturday and Sunday, storms will hit the south-eastern part of Queensland including the north-eastern region.

Dutschke said by the time rain stops from the central-western areas of NSW on Friday, a dry weather could take place that will last for about seven days, while other places will experience rain every day for two consecutive weeks particular in the north-eastern NSW and most of Queensland.

Authorities have already issued warnings especially to the people living in the most affected areas.
