Is Mayweather really lucky or does he possess a genuine ability to predict the winner? Does he get gambling tips from veteran pundits? Well, Mayweather wins some and then loses some.
Shortly after sharing a picture of his huge payday from Cardinals' victory over the Raiders, Mayweather posted a snap of a losing ticket. He said that he lost $20,000 after laying a bet on the Houston Texas. Unfortunately, the Texans lost to Pittsburgh Steelers, 23-30.
In 2012, Mayweather also lost in an NFL bet. According to Gambling 911, Mayweather wagered $100,000 on the Detroit Lions to win the first half against the St. Louis Rams, but the Lions failed to oblige.
Mayweather has been named as Forbes' Highest-Paid Ahtlete of 2014. His net worth is $105 million. Mayweather is the first athlete, aside from Tiger Woods, to surpass the $100 million earnings threshold. Losing $20,000 or even $100,000 is of less importance to Mayweather. It would be like losing a few bucks for an ordinary person.
