Floyd Mayweather likes flaunting his wealth and assets.

In a recent tweet, the American boxer bragged that apart from his $32 million guaranteed purse from his Maidana bout he will get approximately $38 million from pay-per-view revenues. His total winnings amounted to a massive $70 million.

In Mayweather's past two fights with Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, he got $32 million and $41.5 million, respectively, ESPN reported.

$32M for 36 minutes. I'm waiting for the PPV numbers to come in so I can make another $38M on the back-end. Making it a grand total of $70M.

According to Forbes, Mayweather is the highest-paid athlete in the world today. His earnings have been calculated to as much as $400 million, but his ballpark estimate off his latest fight may not really be equivalent to his overall take-home money.

According to a Showtime's spokesman, the final pay-per-view number will not be released until next week.

Forbes' Senior Editor Kurt Badenhausen said it is really impossible to predict Mayweather's total winnings unless the pay-per-view numbers are officially calculated.

"If a fight does 1M PPB buys, he'll likely net around $34 million total, $70 million would required something close to 2 million PPV buys, which this fight won't come close to reaching," Badenhausen said.

During the post-fight press conference as reported by Fight Hype, Golden Boy Promotions Chief Executive Officer Richard Schaefer said he was "confident" Mayweather's pay-per-view buys surpassed one million.

"The numbers look very, very strong," Schaefer added.

"I feel extremely confident that it will definitely be over a million homes," he noted. He also cited it was not "surprising" because the pay-per-view sales usually follow that trend in gate sales and ticket sales.

Schaefer said the gate sales for the fight has amounted to more than $15 million.

"As I said before, the fourth-largest gate-paid attendance for boxing, in the history of boxing here in Las Vegas, so I am not surprised that the pay-per-view numbers are going to be strong."

Meanwhile, Maidana was guaranteed a fairly trifling $1.5 million for the fight. Hopefully, Maidana also makes a decent cut from the pay-per-view numbers.
