Floyd Mayweather will be back on the ring on May 3, 2014, after successfully defeating Robert Guerrero and Saul Alvarez in 2013. It is anticipated that Mayweather will be revealing his next opponent anytime soon. He has been really good in teasing the public by giving some tip-offs on the subject of his next fight.

British boxer Amir Khan has remained the foremost contender, even though some people think that he isn't really an intimidation to Mayweather. The five-division champion never really said anything about Khan, but he finally expressed his reactions regarding the talks about him fighting the British boxer.

On Friday, Mayweather shared a few words about Khan to Chris Robinson of Hustleboss.com. "Amir Khan, I think he's a young, strong champion," Floyd told Robinson. However, he explained that he really doesn't know much about Khan. "But I do know, every time out, the guy comes and fights," he added.

Khan has a boxing record of 28 wins and 3 losses, 19 of which are won by knockout. He lost two of his last four fights and he wasn't really that much sensational in the last two bouts against Carlos Molina and Julio Diaz.

Mayweather already stated that his next fight would involve a solid guy. This revelation made the boxing public think twice if Khan, despite being much loved as the number one challenger for Floyd, would ever secure a fight with the undefeated world champion.

When asked if a fight against Khan is possible, Mayweather has only one thing to say. "If he is the guy, then he is the guy," said Mayweather. "There is nothing that I can do but go out there and execute the game plan," he added. "And dedicate myself to my craft, which is boxing," said Mayweather.

Nevertheless, Mayweather would not reveal any names and said that he still has no idea who he's going to fight next. He explained that "The Money Team" is the one who will still be in charge of the talks about his next fight.

The undefeated fighter made it clear that he is going to do good numbers on his next fight, regardless of who is it going to be. "Because once it gets to this level, it's a business," he concluded.

We'll keep you posted if a fight between Mayweather and Khan really does get finalised.
