Floyd Mayweather Jr., known for his outspoken nature, has surprisingly kept silence in the wake of Manny Pacquiao's latest dare to him. The man whom he accused of being desperate because of his unstable financial situation fired an irresistible challenge to his thrown, asking him to a showdown for charity.

There's no doubt that Mayweather, a five-division champion, is the universally recognised best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. Money May's victory over welterweight contender Robert Guerrero and light middleweight poster boy Saul Canelo Alvarez were more than sensational, exhibiting precision and supreme boxing skills with relative ease.

Mayweather's bank deposit has skyrocketed because of these two fights alone. Since jumping on Showtime Boxing's yard, Mayweather has racked up more than $100 million from fight purse, Pay-per-View buys and merchandise sales.

Bold Challenge to Kingship

Coming off a 12-round unanimous decision win over Californian brawler Brandon Rios, Pacquiao has once again put him on Mayweather's radar despite a disastrous 2012 stint in the ring.

His controversial loss to Timothy Bradley and a sixth-round knockout beating at the hands of Juan Manuel Marquez seemed to have buried the chance for boxing fans to see a Mayweather vs. Pacquiao clash in this generation. However, Pacman responded in a big way as he literally obliterated the trash-talking brawler in their showdown in Macau, China on Nov 23.

The Filipino boxing icon has been the subject of Mayweather's assault on Twitter, as the Grand Rapids native called Pacquiao a declining boxer, garbage, and lastly, desperate boxer.

Apparently, Pacquiao had enough of Mayweather's accusation as he launched a challenge that would certainly dare the manhood of the pound-for-pound king.

"Above all, I challenge him to include in our fight contract that both of us will not receive anything out of this fight. We will donate all the proceeds from the fight - guaranteed prize, should there be any, gate receipts, pay-per-view and endorsements - to charities around the world."

Speechless King

Mayweather's deafening silence in the wake of Pacquiao's bold dare is certainly unusual, especially for avid boxing fans. Coming off a trip from Africa few days ago, Mayweather should have fired back with his own statement and another reason to dodge Pacquiao.

However, Pacquiao's latest dare is simply irresistible that Mayweather has now come up with no option but to hibernate to his own cave. Don't get things wrong here, Mayweather is way better all-around boxer than Pacquiao, and he has a lot of tools to beat the little man from the Philippines. Still, in a bloody sport called boxing, courage overshadows talent, and Pacquiao showed everybody how to be man enough in his craft. As for Mayweather, his silence will serve as another blow to his credibility, and perhaps, cost him the title as the greatest ever.
