Floyd Mayweather Jr. defended his long time buddy Justin Bieber. The boxer believed that Justin's comment is not racist and people make mistakes when they are young. Meanwhile, Biebs apologised for the joke.

Floyd took to Twitter and Instagram and showed that he is with his friend Justin Bieber despite the clipping that surfaced showing the singer saying the N-word.

The boxer posted a photo featuring himself and Justin, he explained why he continues to support him.

"Justin has been nothing but kind to me, my daughters and sons over the years. We all make mistakes when we are young, it's part of growing up. I am proud of what he's doing as a 20 year old musician and business man," wrote Floyd Mayweather next to the photo.

TMZ revealed a video featuring 15-year-old Justin Bieber.

In the video, Biebs cracks a bad joke.

"Why are black people afraid of chain saws?"

"Run N****r."

After the release of the video, Justin released a statement.

"As a young man, I didn't understand the power of certain words and how they can hurt."

"I thought it was ok to repeat hurtful words and jokes, but didn't realize at the time that it wasn't funny and that in fact my actions were continuing the ignorance. Thanks to friends and family I learned from my mistakes and grew up and apologized for those wrongs. Now that these mistakes from the past have become public I need to apologize again to all those I have offended. I'm very sorry."

The statement was published on his Twitter page. Justin Bieber apologised to his fans for offending anyone with his inexcusable and childish mistake.

"Five years ago I made a reckless and immature mistake and i'm grateful to those close to me who helped me learn those lessons as a young man. Once again....I'm sorry," read the statement.
