Floyd Mayweather Jr. gets emotional on Instagram.

Mayweather posted a note on the popular social media Web site and shared to his millions of followers how he had a tough time growing up.

"I have seen my father sell my mother crack," he wrote. "My father went to prison at an age when I needed him the most. My best friend got killed on his birthday, and a week later, got buried on my birthday. They cheated me in the 1996 Olympic Games and I received a bronze medal when I knew in my heart I deserve the gold. My Aunt who lived with me sadly died of AIDS. Seven of us used to be crammed in a one bedroom apartment with no hot water."

The best pound-for-pound boxer left some inspiring words at the end of the note. "Through it all, I always knew God had my back," Mayweather wrote. "Tough times don't last, tough people do," he added.
