Floyd Mayweather Jr.: A Strong Fighter with a Big Heart; Boxer Set to Bring "Money Team" to Japan on Christmas
Floyd Mayweather Jr. is often deemed as the bad guy. It could be because Mayweather had been involved with quite numerous controversies in the past. He had some legal issues, outside of the boxing ring. He has been known for thrash talking his opponents. He has always been known for showing off and bragging about his money and wealth, which can really piss people off, especially during the intricate times in the economy.
However, people aren't always what they seem. Mayweather isn't always what people think he is. He may hunt for media hype for just about everything, but not for his good deed. He has always been a devotee for the homeless and hungry people as he believes that it is his responsibility to give back after receiving so many blessings from his boxing career.
The undefeated fighter had made several donations to some charitable institutions such as Susan G. Komen Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and Three Square Food Bank. He also made contributions to Rainbow Dream Academy. He has his own Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation, a non-profit organisation that he founded in 2007 which centers on the empowerment of social development in besieged adolescents as well as provision of assistance for deprived people in the community.
Mayweather's generosity is not only seen in his charitable works but also in his family, friends, and even lovers. It was once reported that he bought Miss Jackson a diamond and a Bentley worth $16 million and $500 thousand, respectively.
He is reportedly bringing "The Money Team" to Japan on Christmas. "I'm taking my team to Tokyo, Japan for Christmas," he wrote on Instagram on Wednesday.
Whatever Mayweather does to his money is none of our business. He can splurge all he wants. After all, he worked hard for it. What is important is that he doesn't forget the people that have helped him get to where he is at right. What is even more important is that he shares his good fortune to the community and tries to give back, especially to the needy people. He doesn't even like to take credit for all his acts of kindness.
