Floyd Mayweather Makes Fun of Manny Pacquiao’s KO Loss To Juan Manuel Marquez on Twitter
Floyd Mayweather reportedly made fun of Manny Pacquiao in a photo he shared in Twitter on Monday.
"This is my Christmas card to the world," he tweeted. "Happy Sleepy Holidays zzzzzzzzzzzz," he added. Have a look here.
His tweet currently dominates the popular social media Web site. He's just really good at entertaining people, either on the ring or not.
In the photo, Mayweather made an informal joke about the issues why the super fight between the two won't happen, such as Pacquiao reportedly wanting a 50/50 split on the fight purse. He even made fun of knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez in December 2012.
Did Mayweather really make the meme? After his fight against Saul Alvarez, another meme was posted on his Instagram account making fun of Alvarez's promoter Oscar De La Hoya, who at the time was currently battling some addiction problems. The picture went viral instantly and when Mayweather learned what was going on, he took the picture down and said he was not the one who did it. He also apologized to De La Hoya.
Pacquiao was recently hailed as the top contender for Mayweather's World Boxing Council welterweight title. Some reports claimed Pacquiao is hoping to meet the unbeaten boxer in the U.S. to talk about the fight. However, he has already expressed his take on the rumors and other news stories about him fighting Mayweather.
The American boxer made it clear that the fight against Pacquiao will not happen as long as the Filipino boxer has ties with Top Rank promoter, Bob Arum, to whom Mayweather is no longer interested to do business.
Mayweather has not said anything bad about the Filipino boxer in his recent interviews. Could the meme he posted on Twitter be an introduction to prefight trash talk or is he simply making fun of Pacquiao? Mayweather and Pacquiao have both made their names in the history of boxing. People would still love to see their fight to happen.
