Floyd Mayweather Bets Away $10 million on Broncos to win Super Bowl Reuters

Who will Floyd Mayweather fight next? It is a simple question but sadly, it doesn't have any answers yet. Mayweather, who is currently on tour in South Africa to promote the sport of boxing in the nation, revealed that his next opponent will finally be decided within a week, as reported by The Associated Press.

"We don't know," said Mayweather. "We will know within the next seven days," he added. The only thing that is certain is that Manny Pacquiao is not going to be Mayweather's next opponent.

Boxing fans will definitely be delighted that Mayweather will shed some light on the discussion of his possible next opponent. People are all concerned if the British boxer Amir Khan's dream of landing a fight with the undefeated boxer will come true or if Argentinian Marcos Maidana will face him on the boxing ring on May 3 in Las Vegas.

Mayweather is currently the World Boxing Council (WBC) Welterweight and Super Welterweight Champion. The WBC also awarded him the Diamond Super Welterweight Belt. He is also World Boxing Association's (WBA) Super Welterweight Champion. The list of Mayweather's accomplishment and outstanding records in the field of boxing just goes on. Numerous boxing Web sites and sports media outlets, such as Sports Illustrated, Ring, ESPN, and Yahoo Sports, regarded him as the best pound-for-pound boxer of all-time.

As of now, it seems like there is really no one left to fight him. Nobody is close to taking down Mayweather. Some say that he is always trying to find easy fighters, to fight with, to fortify his legacy. Is he really a cherry picker who wants easy jobs for himself? He had fought some strong fighters too, such as Oscar De La Hoya, Juan Manuel Marquez, and Miguel Cotto among several others. Mayweather remains an enigma to everyone. Either he is just too good or he just knows exactly who to fight.

Mayweather has only 4 fights to go under his contract with Showtime. He has 2 years left in the contract, and it appears that he's planning to fight twice a year. What do you do for the biggest name in the boxing industry when there's not much tough fighters left? That's the predicament.
