Following the Lead: Princess Beatrice Recycles Green Jonathan Saunders Dress
Princess Beatrice takes a style cue from Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and recycles one of her dresses for a recent event.
Prince William's cousin attended the Charity: Water Gala in New York Monday wearing a green Jonathan Saunders dress paired with black tights and black Mary Jane shoes. The said dress was part of the designer's Fall collection for 2012.
But various sources noticed that the princess has wore that same outfit back in Jan when she visited a British school in Berlin. That time, she added another accessory -- a black waist belt with gold buckles.
Catherine, or Kate Middleton, was the one member of the Royal family known for her recycling of dresses in a number of occasions. Last week, she wore a lace dress by Alice Temperley which she has already worn on two separate occasions.
During the same charity gala Princess Beatrice was spotted with Princess Eugenie, who was wearing a black lace dress paired with black tights and heels just like her sister. Eugenie is now based in New York and is working at the Paddle8, an online-based auction house in Manhattan. She was spotted last Saturday at the Madison Square Garden during the game between the Atlanta Hawks and New York Knicks.
Beatrice was also seen at the same event with her boyfriend Dave Clarke who was wearing a pair of mismatched velvet slippers with his suit. The latter was introduced to the former by Prince William who met the Virgin Galactic businessman during his university days in Scotland.
Prince Andrew's daughter has been increasingly taking on royal duties ever since quitting her job in the finance sector. A source tells Express Online: "Beatrice is rapidly becoming the glamour girl of the Royal family. She is brilliant at talking to people and spreading a feel-good factor."
"Some charities who have had royal patrons are interested in getting Beatrice to succeed them," the source adds.
