Football Transfer News - Bayern Munich midfielder Thomas Mueller might still end up with Barcelona despite his denial in joining the Spanish powerhouse.

Mueller, who was instrumental in Bayern Munich's UEFA Champions League victory last year, was reportedly spotted roaming around Barcelona last week - a scene that prompted rumors about the German's potential transfer to the Catalonian football club.

However, Mueller immediately balked out from the rumors and insisted that his allegiance remains with Bayern.

"I was there, but it didn't have anything to do with transfer negotiations. Everyone who knows me, knows that Bayern is my home," Mueller told ESPN FC.

Mueller agent's also cleared that his client has no intention to play alongside Messi, Neymar and the rest of Barca's star-studded lineup right now, adding the news are nothing but plain rumor.

"There is nothing to it. That is only a rumour. No further comment," Mueller's agent told EuroSport.

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola was also asked if his prized midfielder has any intention of leaving Bayern, and the tactician immediately answered with an emphatic 'No."

"I am 100 percent positive that he will stay. No chance [that he will go]." The Bayern Munich manager told reporters.

According to Spanish agent Francois Gallardo in an interview with Spanish TV Show Punto Pelota, Mueller's rumored transfer to Barcelona is unlikely right now because the German is still tied with Bayern Munich up to 2017.

"Mueller, under contract at Bayern until 2017, had acted like any other player in the face of interest from Barca and met the club in the Catalonia, but added that the transfer was unlikely because of the potentially high fee involved," said Gallardo in the interview via ESPN UK.

Despite denial from both camps, Mueller may still end up playing with Barcelona in the future because of their need to find a replacement for ageing playmaker Xavi.

Barcelona can easily get the players they needed by selling their rich history of success and the opportunity to become a world icon like Messi and Ronaldinho.
