Mother Monster Lady Gaga topped the annual list of Forbes' "Most Powerful Musicians" for 2013. She was named number one based on earnings, press mentions and social media.
According to Forbes.com, "Gaga is one of six musicians in the Celeb 100's top ten this year."
The pop singer's "Born This Way World Tour" earned a total of $168 million even though it was cut short due to a hip injury. Gaga has a massive social media following, with 38 million Twitter followers and 58 million Facebook fans.
Her forthcoming latest album will be named "ARTPOP". According to her producer, Russian-German electronic music DJ Zedd, "I just really can't imagine they would not like it, to just say it straight up. I think the stuff we've made is pretty f***ing cool."
Meanwhile, Beyonce is at number two. She is currently on her "Mrs. Carter World Tour", which earns $2 million dollars per city. She also earns from her own clothing line, House of Dereon, as well as her deals with Pepsi and H&M.
Number three on the list is Madonna followed by Taylor Swift on number four and rocks star Bon Jovi completes the top five. Justin Bieber ranked number six.
Coldplay is at number ten and the only British musicians to be featured in the top 10. Their world tour earned an impressive $3 million per city. Moreover, their status levelled them on the top ten because of their celebrity friends such as Jay-Z and Beyonce, and with Gwyneth Paltrow being the wife of frontman Chris Martin.
