Former Lover of HK’s Richest Woman Denounces Feng Shui as Evil; Converts to Christianity
Tony Chan Chun-chuen, the former lover of Hong Kong's richest woman and currently facing charges of forgery, has renounced this week Chinese geomancy as evil and was baptised as a Christian.
He converted to Christianity after reading the Bible. Mr Chan was also a known feng shui master, which was his gateway into developing a relationship with Nina Wang Kung Yu-sum, chair of ChinaChem Group until she died of cancer in 2007.

Besides Ms Wang, Mr Chan also provide feng shui advice to rich Hong Kong residents. Geomancy is based on Chinese belief that the positioning of the house or business as well as furniture inside play a role in bringing in good or bad luck in a family or enterprise. Many Chinese believe in feng shui and often get the services of a geomancer before they build or buy a house or building.

Pastor Lam Yee-lok of the Crossroad Community Baptist Church in Tsing Yi Island in Hong Kong baptised Mr Chan on Tuesday, the South China Morning Post reports. With his baptism, Mr Chan also changed his name to Peter Chan, although the name change will not affect his ongoing trial.
About 70 of his friends and relatives, including his wife, Tam Miu-Ching, attended the private baptism rite which Mr Chan described as the happiest day in his life.
Ms Miu-ching shared that she witnessed the changes in her husband's life as the former geomancer became quieter, happier and less agitated. Mr Chan certainly needs more calm in his life as he stands trial in November for allegedly forging the will of Ms Wang so he could lay hands on her wealth.
He said he is not afraid to face the consequences of his action and go to jail. "There is nothing to be scared of here, because all that matters is under God's plan," he was quoted as saying by the Christian Post.
