Former lovers Kate Upton and Maksim Chmerkovskiy reportedly met up for the first time after they split.

According to New York Post Page Six, Kate and Maksim came across each other for the first time after they broke up at Tao Restaurant in New York. Maksim shared a picture of his recent run-in with Kate on Instagram but quickly deleted it. Fortunately, someone was able to screengrab the picture and instantly made its way online through social media.

Kate and Maksim reportedly dated for six months but eventually decided to part ways blaming their hectic schedules.

Kate and Maksim aren't getting back together, Gossip Cop reported. "Others are speculating that the meet-up could be dating again after splitting last December, but Gossip Cop has learned that the pair have not romantically reconciled," wrote the Web site.

Kate is still very much in love with her athlete boyfriend Detroit Tigers' pitcher Justin Verlander, the source further revealed to the Web site.

As for Chmerkovskiy, he is rumoured to be dating Meryl Davis. Maksim's brother Val recently told US Weekly that the duo shares a special kind of relationship. "He loves her probably more than I've seen him love another woman, he loves her and adores her, but it's like a King Kong type of relationship." Val went on and said that Maksim treats Meryl gently and wouldn't want to hurt her in any other way. "He's willing to come down for her because she's the last person he wants to see cry and the last person he wants to hurt."

"He definitely loves her (Meryl) and I know she loves him back."

Maksim's recent run-in with Kate should be nothing but a simple meeting with a friend. To further stop the speculations, Maksim posted a snap of him with Meryl on Instagram with a caption that reads, "All is right in the world again, got my long awaited hug."
