One of the biggest names in the history of mixed martial arts, Ken Shamrock, now works as a bodyguard for rapper 50 Cent.

TMZ reported that Shamrock was seen at the rapper's Consumer Electronic Show (CES) Convention in Las Vegas on Jan. 9. The 2014 International CES features some of Hollywood's stars and musicians, as well as sports and TV personalities to promote a wide range of ground-breaking new inventions for consumer technologies. The UFC Hall of Famer wasn't one of the guests, instead, he was part of 50 Cent's security personnel.

Shamrock was quick to confirm the news that the entertainment Web site reported.

"Harvey, I'm doing a private security detail for 50 Cent," Shamrock wrote on Twitter.

"Working for some talented, great men, @TheVinceNeil @50cent, god bless and much respect gentlemen," he also tweeted with a picture from the said convention.

Shamrock's bodyguard profession has drawn mixed reactions from Twitter users.

"It's kinda sad actually, you are a legend and should have people for YOU," one fan tweeted. Some people cheered him good luck too. "I would love to have @ShamrockKen as my bodyguard #MostDangerousBodyGuardinTheWorld," another one wrote.

His new job now, indeed, gives him the authority to make use of the expertise he has acquired over the years and during his prime when he was still fighting for the UFC. In 2004, Shamrock was appointed by the Marines as a subject-matter expert for integration and combat conditioning training. 50 Cent definitely hired his services for a reason.

The younger generation of UFC fans probably have no idea who Shamrock is, but throughout his prime, Shamrock was regarded as "The World's Most Dangerous Man." He has appeared in over 15 UFC main events and established great pay-per-view records. He became one of the first inductees, opposite of Royce Gracie, to the UFC Hall of Fame in 2003. UFC president Dana White stated that there were no other two individuals, aside from Shamrock and Gracie, who can equaled their contributions to the sport of mixed martial arts.
