R&B singer Frank Ocean announced over the weekend that he has no plans pursuing any charges against fellow Grammys 2013 nominee, rapper Chris Brown.

In his Tumblr page, frankocean.com, the “Pyramids” hitmaker posted a message explaining why he as an artist decided not to press charges against Brown.

"I'll choose sanity," Ocean wrote on his website. "No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace."

The page also highlighted his thoughts on killing and why it is out of the question despite the reported squabble with Brown.

“As a child I thought if someone jumped me, it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man,” the “Novacane” wrote on his Tumblr page Saturday.

He added, “But as a man I am not a killer. I’m an artist and a modern person. I’ll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit.”

Ocean claimed last week that Brown and his group jumped him in a parking lot. He took to Twitter on the day of the incident and said: “got jumped by chris and a couple of guys. Lol. I only wish everest was there.”

Brown has been mum since the incident. Should Ocean had pursued the case, the 23-year-old songwriter/rapper would have been in so much trouble with the law.

The “Look at Me Now” hitmaker is under probation following the assault of his on-and-off girlfriend, Rihanna.

The Guardian is saying that the incident with Ocean “could derail Brown’s efforts to remain in compliance with his probation.”

Looks like a light at the end of the tunnel for Brown. At least, for now.
