In the upcoming bout between Manny Pacquiao and Chris Algieri, the latter is deemed as the huge underdog. Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach thinks so too. The 54-year-old trainer of Irish and French Canadian descent knows that Pacquaio is the runaway favourite and will be the one who will dictate the fight.

"I think Manny is gonna be way too much for him (Algieri)," Roach told ABS-CBN News SOKSARGEN, a local news station in the Philippines. "I think Manny can make (the fight) as hard or as easy as he wants to make it," Roach added.

However, Roach has some good things to say about the unbeaten New Yorker. He said that Algieri has got a "good jab and a good hook." He added that Algieri could be just more than Pacquiao can handle.

According to the Philippine news outlet, it would not be the first time that Algieri has been belittled by a member of Team Pacquiao. The eight-division world champion's financial adviser Michael Koncz once said that Algieri "no match for a focused Pacquiao."

Meanwhile, Algieri's trainer Keith Trimble told Philboxing.com that the American is just doing great. Trimble said that Algieri is in good shape.

"He is fast, strong," Trimble said. "He is good to go." He is pretty pleased with Algieri's current state of health. Trimble has worked with Algieri before the latter flew to Las Vegas to continue his training camp.

Algieri is now reportedly being trained by Trimble's partner Tim Lane and conditioning coach Michael Camp. Lane and Camp will pick from where Trimble had left off to ensure that Algieri will be in top shape in the World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight face-off at The Cotai Arena in The Venetian Macao Resort in Macau, China on Nov. 23.

Algieri's second and final phase of training camp involves sparring three times a week and hitting the pads twice a week. Algieri has already sparred with Sharif Bogere, a one-time WBO North American boxing Organization (NABO) Lightweight titlist. After his training in Las Vegas, Algieri will head to Macau on Nov. 12.
