There has been an early morning encounter with the suspect who is believed to have shot and killed four people, including three children, in Toulouse. Police have exchanged fire with the man, who is refusing to surrender. Two police officers have been injured in this incident so far.

The 24 year-old suspect, who actually filmed the killings, is said to be an Al Qaeda jihadist. According to the French interior minister he carried out the gruesome killings as revenge for Palestinian children and the French army because of its foreign involvements.

The suspect's mother, of Algerian descent, has been brought to reason with him. She has, however, declared that she can do little in the matter as she does not have any control over her son. The killer's brother has been arrested as the crisis in going on.
