It's Dec. 13, 2013 and why is this particular date noteworthy? Well, it's because Dec. 13, 2013 is the second Friday the 13th in 2013. The first Friday the 13^th was last Sept. 13, 2013. What better way to honor it than by watching some of the scariest films ever made, right? That's why for Friday the 13th 2013 Part 2, here are 13 scary films you should watch.

1. "The Collector" -

He must get some much-needed cash for a short span of time or else, bad things will happen to him. It doesn't help if you add the elements of a booby trapped house and a masked killer in the mix.

Pretty freaky competition against other guys for the sole affection of Mandy Lane. Apparently it's a fight-to-the-death with Mandy as the main prize! There is a twist to the story however, which is a welcome surprise and what sets it apart from predictable films in the same genre.

Mick Taylor's mood swings and personality shifts are unpredictable and creepy, which makes this film scary to watch during Friday the 13^th. Unlike the others, this is no mystery flick because you will know who the killer is immediately, but the freaky thing is that he seems so ordinary, harmless and normal that it's a bit unbelievable that he can actually kill that many people and with no other motive but for the heck of it. Really crazy killer is downright scarier because it can happen in real life!

Plus, check out a familiar face in the cast (hint: Seinfeld actor).

These 13 scary films that should be watched on Dec. 13, 2013, which is the second Friday the 13^th in 2013, are not your run-of-the-mill scary films, so don't dismiss them and try to at least watch some of them, if not all. It will guarantee a good scarefest. After all, it isn't common for a Friday the 13^th Part 2 in one year, right?
