The number 13 has long been attached to bad omens and bad luck. Such number combined with Friday is said to cause catastrophic results. Of course, all these beliefs has stemmed from thriller films such as "Friday the 13th." If there is one person in Hollywood that believes the number 13 is lucky, it would be none other than country crooner, Taylor Swift. For the past few years, Swift has credited her success to the number 13.

"The significance of the number 13 on my hand ... I paint this on my hand before every show because 13 is my lucky number - for a lot of reasons," stated Swift, adding, "It's really weird."

Well, for starters Swift was born on December 13 in the year 1989. It might not have fallen on a Friday the 13th like Kat Dennings or the Olsen twins but it's enough to say she was lucky since her birth.

"I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first #1 song had a 13-second intro. Every time I've won an award I've been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter," stated Swift.

"Basically whenever a 13 comes up in my life, it's a good thing," continued the singer.

The number 13 surely has made a significant change and spur of luck in Swift's life. Proving that it indeed is her lucky number, Taylor's twitter name even has the number 13 to it. Certainly, today would be a lucky day for Taylor Swift.
