'Friends' Reunion: Jennifer Aniston Says 'We Should Wait Until We Call It Golden Friends'
It is unlikely that a "Friends" reunion will happen anytime soon. Jennifer Aniston, who played the famous character of Rachel Green in the hit comedy series, said that fans may have to wait for a long time for the reunion, if it happens at all.
"At this point I honestly think we should just wait until we are really much older and have Golden Friends. Then you wouldn't have the comparison," she said during her interview at The Graham Norton show, reports Mail Online.
Fans have been expecting a "Friends" reunion since the show ended in 2004. It played for 10 years and was one of the most popular comedy shows of all time. Its cast members--Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer--immediatly rose to stardom.
Much recently, the female cast members, Aniston, Cox and Kudrow, reunited for a skit based on a line from the show. They did the skit during their appearance at the "Jimmy Kimmel" show. This led to speculations that "Friends" reunion is around the corner.
Meanwhile, in other Aniston news, the actress is currently being praised for her performance in the movie called "Cake." She will be seen in a non-glam role and will play a complex character of a woman who resides in Los Angeles. The film was screened at Toronto Film Festival and reportedly received a standing ovation.
Aniston, who is known to do lighthearted films such as "We are the Millers," was chosen for the intense role as the makers of the film, Cinelou Films' producers Mark Canton and Courtney Solomon, believed that she is an actress of astonishing talent, Deadline reports.
Aniston is also gearing up for the release of her film "Horrible Bosses 2." She plays a dentist in the film. It is a story of three friends, Nick, Dale, and Kurt, who plan to start their own business, but when investor Burt Hanson devises a scheme to ruin their business, they decide to take him down. "Horrible Bosses 2" will be shown on Nov. 26, 2014. Sean Anders directed the film.
