Shia LaBeouf's confession that he has been raped may have shocked many to the point of disbelief, but his artistic collaborators are all confirming the actor's story. The actor's partners are saying that unfortunately, Shia had, indeed, been raped during his #IAMSORRY art event in February.

Gawker reports British artist Luke Turner and Finnish artist Nastja Säde Rönkkö have both released their own statements through Twitter saying all the rape allegations at a Los Angeles gallery of the actor were true. The collaborators found it necessary to defend Shia and themselves after CNN host Piers Morgan slammed Shia for insulting real rape victims everywhere with his rape allegations and asserted none of the things could have happened because the people behind the #IAMSORRY event would not have allowed it to take place.

According to the Finnish artist, nowhere did they state that people could just do whatever they liked to the actor during the event. Moreover, the moment they realised something untoward was happening, they put a stop on it and made sure the woman perpetrator left. Turner, on the other hand, tweeted to CNN host Piers Morgan that at that time, it was not clear what was truly happening. Their first priority was that everyone's safe in the gallery. Moreover, the woman perpetrator ran out of the gallery rather than simply walking away, indicating she's guilty. Beyond that, however, the British artist said he cannot say anything more.

Last week, Shia caused some controversy when he admitted in an email interview with Dazed magazine that he had been raped. "One woman who came with her boyfriend, who was outside the door when this happened, whipped my legs for ten minutes and then stripped my clothing and proceeded to rape me... There were hundreds of people in line when she walked out with dishevelled hair and smudged lipstick," the "Fury" star wrote. It was during this performance art event when the actor spent five days sitting silently in a gallery with a paper bag on his head. As of now, the actor has yet to comment on the revelations of his artistic collaborators.
