Samsung is set to uncloak its second 2013 flagship on Sept 4 but it appears that the South Korean juggernaut is far from relaxing after the third-generation phablet's release date.

Five more Galaxy gadgets can be expected from the Asian tech giant, according to new reports, purportedly to match the new iOS 7 devices lined up by Apple for successive releases in the last four months of the year, starting off with the premium iPhone 5S and the more affordable iPhone 5C.

As reports emerged that the 5S and 5C will hit store shelves first in Japan, Samsung readies up not only the 5.7-inch Note 3 but also four more supporting casts to possibly overwhelm the 2013 iPhone thrust, which is anchored on 4-inch screen displays and slightly upgraded components.

According to SamMobile, "Samsung phones have shown up in a shipping manifest, carrying the model numbers SM-G730A, SM-G3815, SM-G9105, and SM-G7102, with 4-inch, 4.5-inch, 5-inch and 5.2-inch screens respectively.

Note that the yet to be named handsets sport viewing windows that either are equal to the 5S/5C screen size or outrightly dwarf them over. None of the Galaxy models, however, will match the Retina display panel that is expected to be deployed with the iPhone 5S.

The 5C's display attributes are unknown at the moment but analysts see it as skipping Retina to keep the price point slightly lower or between $300 and $400.

SamMobile has hinted that the four new devices are bracketed into two groups - with the SM-G730A and SM-G3815 set to play in the mid-range field or against the iPhone 5C and the SM-G9105 and SM-G7102 for a direct skirmish with the iPhone 5S.

No further details - specs and features - about the upcoming phones were provided though they should be out anytime October and December 2013.

As for the iPad 5 rival, Samsung seems pitting a giant against the iOS device that many believe is taking on a new form - lighter and thinner or much like the faster-selling iPad Mini first edition.

Citing The Korea Economic Daily as its source, BGR reported this week that a giant Galaxy Note variant is currently in the works, having a screen size of 12.2-inch that totally eclipses the iPad 5's 9.7-inch front face should the former is placed over the latter.

This Galaxy Note tablet edition is likely geared for professional use - CAD-related works and media file editing - and should begin its global circulation by the late part of October, the same report said.

No specs were leaked by the Korean publication save for its expectedly upscale display components and very high screen resolution. However, this could be Samsung's answer to the 128GB iPad 4 version that Apple had rolled out in early 2013, which should be replicated in the iPad 5 push this year.

It should be safe to assume that the humongous tablet will be endowed with a quad-core CPU, likely in the Exynos Octa 5 or Snapdragon 800 class, generous RAM provision and Jelly Bean 4.3 rolling right out of the box. A dark-horse addition is the S-Pen stylus, which should be adjusted for optimal work with a sprawling screen.

These smartphones and tablet are expected to play key roles in efforts by Samsung to sustain its increasing dominance of the mobile device market, set to be headlined by the Galaxy Note 3 release in the final months of 2013.
