Galaxy Note 5 Release Date Predicted, Expected To Deliver Monstrous Performance With Powerful Chipset
Now that Samsung has released the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge into the market, the tech world is talking about the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 rumours. It will come out to succeed the Galaxy Note 4 that was unveiled in September last year.
According to a recently published Reuters report, the CEO of Samsung Mobile, J.K. Shin expressed through an interview that in order to increase the competitiveness of products, Samsung is using home-baked chips. However, he also added that the South Korean tech giant is likely to use Qualcomm chip for the upcoming Galaxy phone.
Motley Fool states that the next major Galaxy flagship that Samsung is going to release this year is the Note 5. Since several years, Samsung has been following the pattern of releasing its Galaxy S series flagships during the spring and by fall, it release a new Galaxy Note device. Hence, it foresees that the Galaxy Note 5 will be powered by a Qualcomm chipset.
Qualcomm had unveiled its next generation Snapdragon 820 chipset at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) tech expo that was held at the beginning of March this year. Phone Arena states that the Snapdragon 820 will be equipped with the first 64-bit Qualcomm processor named Kryo. It is expected to power up smartphones that will be released in the second half of the year. As of this writing, there is no official confirmation from Samsung on using the Snapdragon 820 chipset for the Galaxy Note 5.
According to the International Business Times report published on April 15, the Galaxy Note 5 is also rumoured to feature an Exynos chipset. It is expected to house a 4K resolution delivering display. The chipset will be supported by 4 GB LPDDR4 DRAM.
As far as the Galaxy Note 5 release date is concerned, it may very well follow the same release pattern that Samsung has adhered for releasing the previous Note devices in the month of September. On release, it may also come out with the new edition of Android that Google is likely to release in the second half of this year.
