Samsung is sticking to its plan - fill the world with brimming choices of mobile phones, and it appears the rumoured Galaxy S4 Mini is part of the Galaxy menu that is set to be served this coming April.

We know, of course, that the main attraction next month is the Galaxy S4, launched on March 14, but a new report pointed to the likelihood that a side-by-side release for the S4 Mini and its bigger brother is in the works.

Citing Twitter account @ermek as its source, SamMobile published new photos of the S4 Mini that was earlier reported to hit global stores by May 2013.

The leaked images showed the upcoming Android handset looking exactly like its Big Brother but scaled down considerably both in footprint and specs.

The report described the Mini smartphone as a dual-core device that will muscle around with a top-speed of 1.6GHz plus the latest JellyBean 4.2.2 running the entire show.

The screen real estate is quite a bump from its predecessor, the Galaxy S3 Mini, at 4.3-inch with Super AMOLED as the accompanying display technology. Pixel density is 256ppi so users will surely score enough delight from the multi-media functions of smartphone.

SamMobile has indicated that a dual-SIM variant of the S4 Mini will be made available, probably geared for emerging markets like China and India where the feature is extremely popular.

Like the S3 Mini, the S4 Mini release should be a silent one, and Samsung will simply introduce the handset to targeted markets will configurations that suit the local condition.

It will not be surprising then if the S4 Mini will be released in many colour variants to lure mostly young and price-sensitive buyers, who were smitten by the Galaxy S4 but were reluctant to shell out too much cash.

The S4 Mini will likely skirmish with the rumoured budget iPhone that analyst said will hit the market by Q3 2013, largely offering the same prospects that Samsung is bringing to the table.
